Town Meeting Oct 18th 7pm

Announcing: Three opportunities to learn more about the Woodward Land Use Proposal
Info Session ScheduleMembers of the Carlisle Conservation Foundation (CCF) and developer Dan Gainsboro of NOW Communities will be present at each of these Info Sessions to discuss a land use plan for portions of the historic Woodward property on Bedford Road and Maple Street. The proposal includes permanent protection of 38+ acres of agricultural meadow, wetlands and woodlands, important links to the trail system in Great Meadows National Wildlife Refuge and beyond, and an intergenerational clustered community development under
a proposed new zoning bylaw adapted from Carlisle’s Senior Residential Open Space Community bylaw.

The land use plan and bylaw will be the subject of a Special Town Meeting on October 18th.
Come to one of the conveniently scheduled info sessions with your questions and hear more about the plan.

See below for an annotated aerial view of the Woodward land and a parcel map showing how the the trails on the Woodward land will link to the trails system in adjacent conservation land throughout eastern Carlisle.

Thanks to the generosity of Bill Woodward and Carol Doutriaux, Carlisle has an opportunity to preserve an agricultural meadow plus extensive wetlands and woodlands criss-crossed with trails that link to GMNWR and thence to Foss Farm, Greenough, and GBFSP
